SKRILLEX  A.K.A. Sonny Moore

Skrillex changed American electronic dance music (EDM) forever when he released his first album, “My Name is Skrillex” in 2008. Skrillex moved the emphasis of the sound away from safe melodies to intense, industrial bass lines, and this heavily dubstep-influenced style won him eight nominations and six wins at the Grammy Awards in the last two years. Skrillex is one of the biggest names not only in EDM, but in all of music today, charting single after single and spawning countless imitations and millions, if not billions, of fans. In Las Vegas, you can see Skrillex perform at Light inside the Mandalay Bay.

Skrillex, a.k.a. Sonny Moore, has toured and recorded with Kanye West, and many pop artists who want to incorporate EDM into their sound flock to Skrillex before anyone else. He has remixed tracks for Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Black Eyed Peas, and Snoop Dogg, among countless others. Despite reaching his level of permanent success, Skrillex still produces new music that continues to evolve and complicate the dubstep genre. Though Skrillex’s sound is primarily described as dubstep, it is much more nuanced, featuring post-hardcore and electro house influences. Some of his biggest hits are “Bangarang” and “First of the Year.”

Skrillex recently signed on to a residency at Light, the new nightclub at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Performers from Cirque du Soleil will perform alongside Skrillex as part of an immersive nightclub experience, combining daring, spectacular visuals with Skrillex's throbbing, pulsing beats.
